Nic dreamed about Junseo. They were on a Ferris wheel going up, up, up, the swirling lights of an amusement park sparkling below. Junseo was holding his hand, his palm smooth and warm against Nicâs. They were tucked in close to each other, their breath making cold clouds in the air, and Junseo leaned in andâ
Then Junseoâs stomach rumbled so loudly that it actually woke Nic up.
Nicâs eyes fluttered open. This was the first time heâd woken from a dream about Junseo to find him actually lying next to him, and it took him a moment to process what was going on.
Junseo looked embarrassed.
âIâm sorry,â he said. âItâs just that we didnât really...eat?â
Nic realized then that heâd accidentally wrapped himself around Junseo, holding him like he was a stuffed animal. He drew back to give Junseo more space, but Junseo grasped the arm Nic had slung across his chest, keeping him close.
âI am so sorry,â Nic said.
âItâs okay,â Junseo said.
âItâs really not,â Nic mumbled into the soft skin of Junseoâs neck. âIâm a terrible host.â
He could feel Junseo shiver against him. God, he smelled good. A little sweaty, spicy from cologne, the leftover sweet, soapy scent of his body wash.
âYouâre not,â Junseo said. âWe just got...distracted.â
âI had one job, and that was to feed you,â Nic said. âI fucked up this whole date. I didnât even get dressed for it.â
âI like you better undressed,â Junseo said, sliding his hand up Nicâs bare arm, and Nic huffed out a breath. âThat old ratty t-shirt you had on? Too small for you and almost see-through? Sexy.â
Nic shifted so he was above Junseo, propped up on his elbows. Junseoâs hair was tousled against the pillow, and his cheeks were pink. God. How was one person so beautiful, and how on earth had he ended up in Nicâs bed?
âI want to kiss you all the time,â Nic said. âItâs a problem.â
âWhy is it a problem?â Junseo said, tilting up his chin.
Their lips met, softly. Junseo traced the curve of Nicâs lower lip with his tongue, and Nicâs breath caught.
Junseoâs stomach rumbled again.
âDammit,â Nic said, and Junseo chuckled.
âWe can keep kissing,â Junseo said. âJust ignore my stomach.â
âIâm not going to ignore your stomach,â Nic said. âIâm going to make you a snack.â
âBut you are a snack,â Junseo said, nipping at Nicâs collarbone.
Nic had to physically push Junseo away, because he knew if he let it happen, they were going to end up making out again, Junseo would remain hungry and unfed, and Nic would still be a terrible host. He was raised better than this. He was going to get out of bed and make Junseo a snack because that was what you did when you accidentally forgot to feed your guest because you were too busy talking dirty to them and jerking them off.
Whoops. Nic flushed and backed out of the room before Junseo could ask him why heâd turned the color of a ripe tomato. He shuffled around opening and closing cabinets, wracking his brain for what he could give Junseo.
